Spunic is Opening a New Workspace on the Calicut Bypass

Luqman Moideen · 1 Aug 2026

Spunic is expanding in Kozhikode with a new workspace on the Calicut Bypass, focused on private cabins and managed offices for teams, companies and businesses establishing a local base.

Spunic Calicut Bypass coworking and managed office space in Kozhikode

Spunic is expanding in Kozhikode with Spunic Calicut Bypass, a new coworking and managed office location scheduled to open in September 2026.

The new centre joins Spunic’s existing workspace network, which includes locations in Kondotty, Manjeri and Kozhikode. Spunic Calicut Bypass builds on that operating experience with a larger focus on private offices, company teams and businesses looking for a managed workspace of their own.

Unlike a coworking space built primarily around individual desks, Spunic Calicut Bypass puts private cabins and team workspaces at the centre of the offering.

Private workspaces built around teams

Businesses do not always need to lease and operate an entire conventional office. They do, however, need privacy, reliable infrastructure and enough space for their teams to work together.

Spunic Calicut Bypass will offer private cabins for teams of five to nine people, individual manager cabins, and a larger configuration combining a manager cabin with a private team workspace.

This makes the centre suitable for startups, established businesses, regional teams and companies that want a dedicated office while retaining access to shared meeting facilities and managed infrastructure.

Hot desks and day passes will also be available, but the primary focus of the new location is clear: giving teams and companies their own space to work.

A base in Kozhikode for NRI and NRK businesses

One of the use cases we see for Spunic Calicut Bypass is helping NRIs and NRKs establish back-office teams in Kozhikode.

Setting up a local office traditionally means finding commercial space, furnishing it, arranging internet and power, setting up meeting facilities and managing the everyday requirements of running the workplace.

A managed workspace removes much of that initial setup.

An entrepreneur or company based outside Kerala can establish a team in Kozhikode with its own private cabin while using the meeting rooms, reception support, internet, power, common facilities and other infrastructure already available at Spunic.

The same model can work for companies headquartered elsewhere in India that want to establish a regional office, support function or satellite team in Kozhikode without immediately committing to an independently operated office.

Meeting spaces for teams and clients

The centre will include a meeting room for up to six people and a conference room for up to 13 people.

Teams can use these spaces for client meetings, interviews, internal discussions, presentations and other collaborative work without using their private cabins for every meeting.

Both rooms will have high-speed internet, air conditioning, drinking water, reception support and presentation displays. The conference room will feature a 65-inch Smart TV.

Dedicated phone booths will provide additional space for calls and online meetings.

Space beyond the office

A workspace is more than the room where a team sits.

Spunic Calicut Bypass will include an ample rooftop common area, giving members a separate setting for breaks, informal conversations and time away from their desks during the working day.

Access has also been considered as part of the workspace experience. The centre will have dedicated lifts for Spunic, rather than lifts shared with other occupants of the building.

For teams commuting to work and businesses receiving regular visitors, the location will also provide ample car parking.

Other facilities will include high-speed Wi-Fi, uninterrupted power, fully air-conditioned workspaces, a pantry and dining area, tea and coffee facilities, a prayer space and reception support during working hours.

The next addition to the Spunic network

Spunic Calicut Bypass represents the next step in Spunic’s growing workspace network and a more deliberate move towards serving teams and companies that want private, managed offices.

For a local business, that could mean moving a growing team into its own cabin. For a company headquartered elsewhere, it could provide a base for a regional team. For an NRI or NRK entrepreneur, it could offer a simpler way to establish and operate a back office in Kozhikode.

In each case, the proposition is similar: a private workspace for your team without having to build and manage the entire office yourself.

Spunic Calicut Bypass is scheduled to open in September 2026.
